The Halal Industry Training Programme (HITP) – Professional Halal Executive Certification (JAKIM) was successfully conducted from 18th to 24th January 2026 at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

A total of 11 participants representing various industry organisations, higher education institutions, and individual professionals took part in the programme. The course was delivered in full compliance with JAKIM requirements and guidelines, ensuring alignment with national halal certification standards and regulatory frameworks

The programme was designed to enhance participants’ knowledge, technical competency, and professional capability in:

  • Halal management systems
  • Halal certification requirements and regulatory compliance
  • Implementation of the Halal Assurance System (HAS)
  • Internal halal control procedures and documentation
  • Organisational-level halal governance and monitoring

Through structured lectures, case studies, and practical discussions, participants gained comprehensive exposure to best practices in managing halal certification processes within their respective organisations.

The diverse participation reflects the growing importance of certified halal executives across food manufacturing, food services, chemical industries, OEM production, and higher education sectors.
