The UET Johor Skills Collaboration brought together UTHM Education & Training (UET) and Johor Skills Development Centre (JSkills) for a meaningful strategic engagement. The meeting explored potential cooperation in skills development, professional training and industry-focused programmes.

In addition, both parties exchanged ideas on how future training initiatives could better respond to the changing needs of industry and the workforce.

UET Johor Skills Collaboration

The meeting involved Dr. Mohamad Anas Mohamad Annuar, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Skills Development Centre, together with the JSkills team and representatives from UTHM Education & Training.

During the session, both teams discussed potential areas of mutual collaboration. These included professional training, skills development and programmes that can support current and future industry needs.

Furthermore, the discussion provided an opportunity to identify areas where both organisations can combine expertise and resources. This approach can support the development of more practical and impactful training initiatives.

Supporting Skills Development

Skills development plays an important role in preparing individuals for changes in the workplace. Therefore, collaboration between training providers and industry-focused organisations can create more relevant learning opportunities.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of professional development and lifelong learning. Continuous training can help participants strengthen their competencies and remain competitive in a changing work environment.

In addition, industry-focused programmes can help bridge the gap between training and real workforce requirements. By understanding industry needs, both parties can develop programmes that provide greater value to participants.

Building Stronger Industry Partnerships

The UET Johor Skills Collaboration marks a positive step towards building a stronger relationship between UET and JSkills.

Moreover, strategic partnerships can create more opportunities for knowledge sharing, professional development and industry engagement. These efforts can also support the development of a skilled and future-ready workforce.

Moving forward, UET looks forward to strengthening this collaboration and exploring more impactful initiatives with Johor Skills Development Centre.

Together, both organisations aim to create greater opportunities for skills development, lifelong learning and industry engagement.

Together, we empower skills. Together, we build the future.
