Master of Science in Internet of Things (MET)

Internet of Things (IoT) presents when the world, humans and things are connected smoothly and securely through smart sensors and high-speed internet infrastructure. Data can be collected, transformed, analyzed into beneficial information that can interact directly with the environment, provide feedbacks, and can be used in a variety of applications, including smart cities, industrial internet of things (IIoT), smart grids, smart homes and buildings, smart infrastructure, smart agriculture, smart health, and smart mobility. Therefore, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) is proactive in creating this academic program, namely the Master of Science in Internet of Things (MET).

OBJECTIVE PROGRAMME

PEO 1

Apply the knowledge acquired  to be completed in practical work of Internet of Thing (Iot)

 

PEO 2

Practice the profession of science, engineering, management and technology which involve Iot industry

PEO 3

To perform continuous learning on Iot technology independently at advanced level 

 

PEO 4

To produce technocrats who apply the knowledge gained in Iot and entrepreneurship in the industry.

REQUIREMENT PROGRAMME

Entry Requirement
    • This program aims to produce balanced graduates who are knowledgeable and capable in seven key elements of Soft Skills introduced by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) that  meet the country’s need for skilled and professionals in the field of Instructional Design and Technology, serving in the public, private or private sectors. Bachelor’s Degree with Honors with a minimum Cumulative Point Average (CPA) of 2.50.

    OR

    • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree with work experience in a related field.
    • Other qualifications that may be considered: Work experience in a related field (for applicants with a Cumulative Point Average (CPA) below 2.50)

    OR

    • Applicants with APEL-Level 7 qualification
English Requirement
  1. Applicants should fulfill the minimum English proficiency level of :
    • MUET Band 3 ;
  1. Applicants who fulfill the academic qualification from Institution of higher learning throughout Malaysia that is recognized by the Senate are eligible to apply for exemption from the English language requirements.
