The UET Peninsular Skill Collaboration brought together UTHM Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. (UET) and Peninsular Skill to explore potential cooperation in professional training and skills development.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both organisations to introduce their background, roles and services. In addition, the discussion focused on identifying suitable areas for future collaboration.

UET Peninsular Skill Collaboration

Representing UTHM Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. (UET) were:

  • Mr. Reeza Hilmee
  • Mrs. Noor Elyya Mohd

Representing Peninsular Skill were:

  • Pn. Hjh. Zamra Derahman
  • Mr. Badrul Shah

During the session, both parties exchanged ideas on potential training initiatives. The discussion also highlighted opportunities to combine expertise and resources to support professional development.

REM Training in the Northern Region

One of the key areas discussed was the proposed implementation of Registered Energy Manager (REM) training programmes in the Northern Region.

This initiative could provide more opportunities for professionals to strengthen their knowledge and competencies in energy management. Furthermore, regional training delivery can make professional development programmes more accessible to participants from the northern states.

Both organisations also discussed how the proposed training could be planned and delivered effectively. A clear collaboration framework can help ensure that the programme meets industry needs and professional standards.

Proposed Visit to The Ship Campus

UET is also honoured to receive an invitation from Peninsular Skill to visit The Ship Campus.

The proposed visit will provide an opportunity to explore the facilities and training ecosystem available at the campus. In addition, both organisations can continue discussions on potential programme delivery and future collaboration.

The visit may also help identify suitable facilities and resources that can support professional training initiatives.

Strengthening Professional Training and Skills Development

The UET Peninsular Skill Collaboration marks a positive step towards building a strategic partnership between both organisations.

Moreover, collaboration can create more opportunities for professional training, skills development and industry engagement. By combining expertise and training capabilities, both parties can develop programmes that respond to current workforce needs.
