UTHM EduTrain Retreat 2026 Highlights | Strengthening Teamwork

The UTHM EduTrain Retreat 2026 brought the UTHM EduTrain team together for two memorable days of team building, collaboration and meaningful experiences. Held in Mersing, Johor, the retreat aimed to strengthen workplace relationships while creating a positive and supportive team environment.

Throughout the retreat, team members took part in various activities that encouraged communication, trust and cooperation. The programme also provided an opportunity for everyone to recharge and connect outside the workplace.

UTHM EduTrain Retreat 2026 – Day 1

The first day began with the team travelling together to Mersing before checking in at the homestay. After settling in, everyone gathered for a BBQ dinner and team bonding activities.

The evening created a relaxed environment for team members to interact and strengthen their connections. In addition, the activities encouraged teamwork, trust and better communication among colleagues.

The shared experiences also provided meaningful moments that helped strengthen team spirit. As a result, team members had the opportunity to build stronger relationships in an enjoyable setting.

Day 2 – Island Escape Adventure

The second day continued with an exciting island hopping adventure around the beautiful islands of Mersing. Team members enjoyed exploring the surrounding natural environment while spending quality time together.

One of the main highlights was a hiking expedition to the summit of Pulau Sri Buat, Pahang. The activity challenged participants’ physical endurance, mental resilience and teamwork.

Furthermore, reaching the summit gave the team an opportunity to appreciate breathtaking views of the South China Sea. Supporting one another throughout the hike also strengthened cooperation and team spirit.

The adventure continued with snorkeling and island exploration. These activities created more opportunities for the team to relax, communicate and enjoy memorable experiences together.

Strengthening Teamwork and Workplace Relationships

The UTHM EduTrain Retreat 2026 was more than just a recreational programme. It provided an opportunity to strengthen teamwork, improve communication and build stronger relationships among colleagues.

Moreover, the retreat encouraged a positive work culture by promoting trust, collaboration and mutual support. These values are important in helping the team work more effectively towards shared organisational goals.
