UTHM and Tourism Johor for EduTourism Initiative in Conjunction with Visit Johor 2026

UTHM Education & Training (UET) participated in a strategic collaboration meeting between Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and Majestic Johor Tourism Sdn. Bhd. (Tourism Johor) to discuss the implementation of an EduTourism initiative in conjunction with Visit Johor Year 2026.

UET was honoured to be invited to support this initiative as the private wing of UTHM, playing a key role in the management and financial coordination of the proposed EduTourism programmes. The engagement focused on aligning institutional expertise with tourism development strategies to create impactful, knowledge-driven tourism experiences.

The discussion explored potential programme structures, operational frameworks, and strategic collaboration models aimed at integrating education, innovation, and tourism under the Visit Johor 2026 campaign. The initiative is expected to position UTHM as a strategic academic partner in contributing to Johor’s tourism ecosystem.

This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the education–tourism nexus, promoting academic-based tourism experiences, and contributing to sustainable socio-economic development at both state and national levels.
