The EduTrain Bitara Collaboration brought together UTHM EduTrain and UTHM Bitara to discuss future training and professional development initiatives. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Sarah Omar, General Manager of UTHM EduTrain, chaired the strategic meeting.

The session focused on National Training Week (NTW) 2026, continuing professional development initiatives and collaboration on HRD Corp training programmes. In addition, both parties discussed ways to improve programme coordination and delivery.

EduTrain Bitara Collaboration for Training Development

During the meeting, both organisations explored suitable approaches for coordinating future training programmes. The discussion covered several important areas, including marketing, participant registration, documentation and programme delivery.

Furthermore, both parties discussed their respective roles and responsibilities. Clear coordination will help ensure that each programme can be managed efficiently and delivered according to the agreed objectives.

The teams also discussed a collaboration framework for HRD Corp-funded training programmes. Through this framework, both organisations aim to strengthen cooperation and provide more structured professional development opportunities.

Supporting National Training Week 2026

National Training Week (NTW) 2026 was another key topic during the session. Both parties exchanged ideas on suitable training programmes and approaches that could support greater participation.

In addition, the meeting explored continuing professional development initiatives for the UTHM community. These programmes can help participants strengthen their knowledge, develop new competencies and remain relevant to current industry needs.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Shahruddin bin Mahzan @ Mohd Zin, Director of UTHM Bitara, and Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Saliza Azlina binti Osman, Head of the Department of Continuing Education, UTHM Bitara.
