STEAM BOILER ENGINEER GRADE 1

Advance Your Steam Boiler Engineering Competency

A three-day training course for eligible Steam Boiler Engineer Grade 2 personnel pursuing registration as a Steam Boiler Engineer Grade 1.

General Eligibility

• Malaysian citizen
• Have working experience in steam boiler operation and maintenance
• Must not have been charged and found guilty of an offence under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) or its regulations
• Must be certified medically fit by an Occupational Health Doctor (OHD)
• Attend a Steam Boiler Engineer course conducted by a training provider registered with DOSH
• Pass the Steam Boiler Engineer examination at an examination centre recognised by DOSH

Grade 1 Eligibility

• Have at least six months of work experience as a Steam Boiler Engineer Grade 2
• Have experience operating, handling or maintaining a steam boiler with a heating surface, or a combined heating surface for boilers connected to a common range, exceeding 200 square metres
• Obtain verification from the employer or a Steam Boiler Engineer Grade 1 for the relevant work experience

Registration Pathway

Grade 2 Competency → Required Work Experience → Attend the Grade 1 Training Course → Pass the Recognised Examination → Submit the Registration Application Through MySKUD
