STEAM BOILER ENGINEER GRADE 2

Develop Your Steam Boiler Engineering Competency

A five-day training course for candidates pursuing registration as a Steam Boiler Engineer Grade 2.

General Eligibility

• Malaysian citizen
• Have working experience in steam boiler operation and maintenance
• Must not have been charged and found guilty of an offence under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) or its regulations
• Must be certified medically fit by an Occupational Health Doctor (OHD)
• Attend a Steam Boiler Engineer course conducted by a training provider registered with DOSH
• Pass the Steam Boiler Engineer examination at an examination centre recognised by DOSH

Grade 2 Eligibility

Mechanical Engineering Route

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognised by MQA
• Be registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Have at least one year of work experience related to steam boiler operation, verified by the employer

Other Engineering Route

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering other than Mechanical Engineering recognised by MQA
• Be registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Have at least two years of work experience related to steam boiler operation, verified by the employer

Registration Pathway

Meet the Applicable Eligibility Requirements → Attend the Training Course → Pass the Recognised Examination → Submit the Registration Application Through MySKUD
