The Halal Industry Training Programme (HITP): Professional Halal Executive Certification (JAKIM) was successfully held from 18th to 24th January 2026 at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

Strengthening Halal Management Competency

The programme aimed to build strong Halal Executive competencies. It focused on practical knowledge and technical skills.

Key learning areas included:

• Halal Management Systems
• Halal Certification Requirements and Compliance
• Implementation of the Halal Assurance System (HAS)
• Internal Halal Control Procedures and Documentation
• Organisational Halal Governance and Monitoring

Participants attended structured lectures and case studies. They also joined practical discussions. These sessions helped them understand real-world halal practices.

This programme supports the development of skilled Halal Professionals. It also promotes ethical practices in the industry.

As a result, graduates can manage halal certification with confidence. They are also equipped to strengthen internal compliance systems. Ultimately, this initiative supports Malaysia’s expanding halal ecosystem.
